상부위장관 출혈은 샘창자 걸이근(treitz ligament) 상부의출혈로, 약 8%에서는 명확한 원인을 찾지 못하는 것으로 알려져 있다[1]. Hemosuccus pancreaticus (HP)는 상부위장관 출혈의 매우 드문 원인 중 하나로 출혈이 췌관을 통해 십이지장주 유두부로 배출되는 것을 의미한다. 가장 흔한 경우는 급성재발성 췌장염이나 만성 췌장염 이후 발생한 비장동맥의 가성동맥류가 췌관 내에서 파열되어 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있다.
