The purpose of this study was to survey on the perception of the elementary school studentsabout alien lives. The instrument to survey consisted of 15 questions, which were categorized into4 domains as follows: threat from alien lives, management on alien lives, participation into managingactivities for alien lives, and introduction of alien lives. With regards to the survey on the perceptionabout alien lives, elementary school students were asked to answer with the 5 point scale (1∼5points) of Likert scale to know whether they were positive or negative. Subjects were 169elementary school students (101 males and 68 females), who were out of 8 classes of 5th and 6thgrade of elementary schools in Gyeonggi province, Korea and asked to answer for the questionnaires. They were in normal level in the introduction of alien lives, but it was appeared that theyperceived that the alien lives were not a big help to the economic activities too much, and it madebad influences on the environment. It was investigated that they perceived to be managed duringor before being introduced, and they had a willing to participate into the management activities afterbeing introduced. Nevertheless, it was revealed that the level of the perception of elementary schoolstudents about alien lives had a little bit higher than normal level. So, it suggested that theeducational approach related to ‘alien lives', one of hot biological-social issues be introduced intobiology education or environmental education.
