The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of a brain-compatible teaching-learning program on reproduction and development in high school biology classes. The brain-compatible program was designed to improve students' cognition, motivation and emotion. To compare the effect of the program, this study applied the brain-compatible program into the experimental group, in other hand, 5E learning cycle program were applied to the control group. Then, changes in students'cognition, motivation and emotion were analyzed between the experimental and control group by before and after program administration. The results of the study were summarized as follows: The cognitive ability was improved significantly in both for the control group and the experimental group. In terms of motivation to learn biology, there was a significant increase in the experimental group than the control group. For the positive emotion, the experimental groups showed significant improvement,but the control group did not show any significant difference. For negative emotion, the experimental group showed significant decrease, but the control group did not show any significant difference. Therefore, it was discovered that the brain-compatible teaching-learning program contributed to improve students' cognition, motivation and emotion. Also, the results suggest that the brain-compatible teaching and learning strategies are effective to diagnose and enhance the quality of teaching and learning programs.
