This study was intended to develop an experimental module regarding「Reproduction and Heredity 」using C-Fern(Ceratopteris richardii) and to apply it to pre-service teachers in order to examine its effect on creating their correct concepts in reproduction and heredity. Developed experimental module consisted of 8 sessions using life cycle of C-Fern, characteristics of its sexual generation and its asexual generation. It was verified by one expert in science education and 15 middle school and high school teachers. It was then applied to 20 pre-service teachers who were juniors in biology education of H University in Chungbuk. In order to examine its effect on the change of concepts in「Reproduction and Heredity」, achievement test was conducted before and after its application. Word association test was also conducted in order to determine the change of recognition structure. The pre-service teachers' responses regarding the module-based lessons were determined by an interview. Developed experimental module using C-Fern was effective in making up the preservice teachers' concepts in「Reproduction and Heredity」into the scientific ones and it helped their systematization of the recognition structure. Therefore, it could be used as a part of students' inquiry lesson and could provide a positive effect on the understanding of concepts in「Reproduction and Heredity
