The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of scientific inquiry activities using plants on emotional intelligence and scientific attitude in elementary school science. Inquiry activities were developed considering the improvement of emotional intelligence that was based on the scientific curriculums. The emotional intelligence of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. Especially, there were significant differences between them in emotional expression,self-emotional control and others' emotional control (p<.05). The experimental group had higher scientific attitude than the control group in curiosity, openness, spontaneity, patience and creativity of scientific attitude (p<.05). In addition, it was shown that elementary school students had high satisfaction with scientific domain-fused inquiry activities using plants. Thus, it can be effective to improve emotional intelligence and scientific attitude in elementary school science.
