We consider multiscale mortar mixed nite element discreti-zations for slightly compressible Darcy ows in porous media. This paperis an extension of the formulation introduced by Arbogast et al. for theincompressible problem [2]. In this method, ux continuity is imposed viaa mortar nite element space on a coarse grid scale, while the equations inthe coarse elements (or subdomains) are discretized on a ne grid scale.Optimal ne scale convergence is obtained by an appropriate choice ofmortar grid and polynomial degree of approximation. Parallel numericalsimulations on some multiscale benchmark problems are given to showthe eciency and eectiveness of the method.
