After the financial crisis in 1997, a lot of Korean firms had endeavoured to restructure following management innovation. The result of pursuing competent management such as financial performance notably improved. The spread of conservative management, however, made the growth of firms weak. A number of domestic companies facing risks decided to carry out the renovation management such as restructuring and downsizing in order to adapt to structural change of business environment. Not like bold investment or management in the long term point of view, result-oriented human resource management system has been settled down as a new personnel system in Korea in pursuit of short term managerial outcome. Of the local companies, the rate of introduction annul income system increases 52.5% in 2007 from 1.6% 1996. The corporation’s rate where introduce payment by results system has been exceeded 30% in 2005. In Earnest, result-oriented human resource management has been implemented more than 11years from now on. It will be reconsidered bright and dark side of the management. In addition, it would be studied new directions in human resource management for creating firms to obtain sustainable competitive advantage resulting from globalization and Information technology.
