The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of effective microorganisms (EM) fermented broth and containing Jawoongo oil on desquamation at the removal of greasepaint (cream blend stick). Natural cosmetics are made containing EM fermented broth and containing Jawoongo oil. For this, research was conducted against 8 in control group, 8 in EM group and 8 in Jawoongo group from August 19 to December 19, 2014. In both the control and experimental groups, natural basic cosmetics were absorbed into the skin, and greasepaint was applied. Three hours later, the face was washed with the cleansing foam made with each group’s samples. Then, desquamation and surface conditions were measured. The results found the following: In terms of desquamation of the entire face, the control group (p=.018) increased from 86.262 to 107.48 with a statistically significant difference (p<.05). In contrast, the EM group (p=.955) and Jawoongo group (p=.458) slightly decreased from 103.75 to 100.71 and from 79.977 to 69.203, respectively. In terms of surface changes as well, a control group (p=.038) increased from 0.0058 to 0.0091 with a significant difference (p<.05) while the EM group (p=.252) and Jawoongo group (p=.378) decreased from 0.0138 to 0.0099 and from 0.0203 to 0.0172, respectively. According to the said study, both EM fermented broth and natural cosmetics containing Jawoongo oil decreased in terms of desquamation. In a control group, on the contrary, a significant increase was found. Therefore, it appears that EM fermented broth and Jawoongo oil would be effective in removing greasepaint.
