In this study, IPA analyze and reversion model development through survey based on safety, continuity, wayfinding and landscape aspect has been conducted on Gangnam and Jongno, the commercial area. Based on this result, main factors of overall satisfaction in commercial area have been investigated. As a result, compare to Jongno, (4.44) a naturally formed pedestrian passage, Gangnam, (4.64) a planned pedestrian passage, is recognized comparatively positive. The factors that influence pedestrian satisfaction are comfort (0.346), landscape (0.252), continuity (0..156), wayfinding (0.14), safety (0.039). For the case of Jongno, (a naturally formed pedestrian passage) the factors were Wayfinding (0.30) > continuity (0.195) > landscape (0.156) > comfort (0.151) > safety (0.089). For the case of openness, considered as a potential factor in this study, is determined to be treated importantly in the future when designing and improving the pedestrian environment. The pedestrian satisfaction will greatly increase if the factors related to safety and comfort become improved and if the pedestrian facilities related to these factors become enhanced in the construction business.
