By the 2000s, Japan was actively engaged in the campaign to enact the Sports Fundamental Act. And in September 2013, the International Olympic Committee was finally named the city hosted the Tokyo. Based on such these backgrounds, the Sports Fundamental Act of 2011 was enacted and implemented. Meanwhile Japan Sports Agency has been established and systematic sports policies are being implemented on 2015. The Sports Fundamental Act actively recognizes constitutional rights to sports. It also defines the responsibility of the state to enable the people to carry out their physical and mental health and cultural life. Based on these Sports Fundamental Act, the Japanese government is making efforts to expand the opportunities for people's sports activities, to realize a healthy society, and to build a sports powerhouse. Such laws and policies in Japan will be a lot of influence on Korean legislation.
