According to the results of recent census and prediction, as the birth rate of the young generation rapidly decreases, the population of the future can be insufficient, and this can be a national disaster. The result of this study were follows. First, the education is encouraged to operate for 1~2 hours in a course of study and for more that 2 hours in creative discretionary and extracurricular activities. Second, the operation of curriculums for population education has a problem. Population education should be treated through the whole spectrum(subjects, creative discretionary and extracurricular activities etc) of curriculums. Third, the paucity of information and teaching materials for population education is causing a problem. Most teachers didn't have enough information and teaching materials about low birthrate and aged society. And they said the existing materials were not efficient. The last, the training program for population education is not enough. Most teachers didn't the training program for population education is not enough. Thus, to solve the problem which population education has and to go into their acts, population education should be applied systematically to the national curriculum and operated intentionally by creating population unit in the social studies. Furthermore the chances for the training and teaching materials for population education should be given to the teachers sufficiently.
