As for the process in which the various people of the Philippine Islands are formed as the 'Philippines nation' and 'Philippines people' taking advantage of experience of colonization rule, the foundation was prepared by sociocultural simplification work through Catholicizing under rule of Spain, and the public education under U.S. rule. Although the marks of the past colonization rule are stamped on the body and the soul of the 'Philippines nation', they are not overstatements.
The Philippines recognized as ‘a weak state’ 'without a change' originated in colonization rule of several mighty countries, the Philippine revolution which finished with the misfire and the modernization and national formation advanced under the U.S. colonization rule. The Formation of the 'Philippines nation' of the distorted form still includes various hopeless and chronic problems, and is using influence into the Philippines society.
In addition, the typical national problem inside the Philippines is that the strong Islamic influence group in Mindanao forms Moro National Liberation Front and that is performing the separate independence fight. This expresses vividly the cacophony of the artificial Philippines nationalization work by governmental authority.
Moreover, it is necessary to take notice of an appearance of 'the middle class' as a new class which is the People Power which drew two bloodless citizen rising which occurred in 1986 and 2001 of the Philippines. In existence with a possibility of drawing change and development of the Philippines civil society of the future, 'the middle class' includes the possibility of a change of the Philippines nation.
