In order to keep healthy and good appearance, it is necessary to eliminate sebum, dead cell and other particles that cover the skin surface after a full day's exposure to the environment. The skin of a healthy person is covered with a moist acid layer; which may be altered when illness occurs, with a charge to a more alkaline reaction. Excessive use of soap can also induce this change. The natural acid layer on the skin is said to offer protection against the harmful substance. Water alone is a good cleansing agent. The skin surface normally carries a negative electrostatic charge. Many particles on skin are also negative charged. In water, these particles are repelled from the skin with resulting cleansing action. However, water is seldom sufficiently to clean the skin. The oily soils on the skin require a solvent or an emulsification process for removal. In this study, we tested two kinds of cleansing products. DI water was also chosen and tested for comparison. For the instrumental analysis, skin moisturization, erythema. skin pH and TEWL of foam cleansing cream and cleansing water were evaluated by multi probe adapter system.
