This study is aimed to examine the general awareness of sensitive scalp and its management. Research was conducted in adults and investigated general characteristics, awareness of the sensitive scalp, awareness of the sensitive scalp management. The results showed that most of the respondents are concerned about the sensitive scalp and attribute the cause of sensitive scalp to the stresses. In addition, they perceive that sensitive scalp leads to hair loss. The results also showed that management is most preferred as the preventive method against sensitive scalp. Most of the respondents are aware of the need for sensitive scalp management; they prefer hair shop which is easily accessible in managing the sensitive scalp; they prefer massage using products to the medicines and accordingly prefer the effect of the product most. They also showed high intention level to receive the preventive treatment as long as it is effective. I hope that this study may facilitate many future studies on the sensitive scalp that may arise in the problematic scalp.
