In today’s haircut education, detailed charts and hair length with out line and face line for the hair styling are not concrete and clear presented. And thereby many errors are made and due to the limitations in communications required for accurate explanations and understanding. So that in this study, the 210 hair designers were investigated 7 questions about general characters, 9 questions about haircut education, 8 questions about hair length charting, and collected 210 effective questionnaires were analysed statistically by SPSS ver. 16.0 for Windows program. In the result, 71.9% of 210 people were dissatisfied in question about the haircut education. And the need of a charted haircut in education is such a need 89.5% of them, 87.1% of respondents have not experience receiving a charted haircut and 91.6% may be receive charted haircut when they have a education chance. 60.5% answered that the nape point (NP) should be the base point when setting the hair length of the outline, and 54.3% would be suitable for long hair 25 cm, 58.3% for medium length 15 cm, 48.8% for short length 5.0 cm. 66.2% answered that when setting the hair length of the face line, the center point (CP) should be the base point. When setting the hair length of the face line, 57.6% would be suitable for long length under the chin line 17 cm, 58.3% for medium length under the nose line 10 cm and 63.3% for short length under the eyebrow line 5.0 cm. In conclusion, it was found that there are an immediate need for adaptable charting and specifying hair length for haircut education, and may be received basic data for useful length of 3 different hair styles.
