The goal of this study is to present the possibility of a Christology based on the framework of pneumatology in order to provide an appropriate theological balance and paradigm for more adequate and suitable Christology for contemporary context. Thus, this study seeks to explore Möltmann’s SpiritChristology as a theological model for constructing a balanced Christology for today’s world. In doing so, it deals with some distinct theological features of the Spirit in the presence and work of Jesus Christ that are critically engaged in Möltmann’s Christology within his trinitariancentric framework. It also articulates the relationship between Logos and Spirit Christologies regarding their theological reflection on the nature and function of the presence and work of Jesus Christ. Moreover, it shares some distinctive theological findings of Möltmann’s SpiritChristology for the purpose of establishing and revitalizing the Spirit in Christology. In order to provide a constructive theological framework for contemporary Christology, this study points out some theological limitations of traditional Christology on the basis of the relevance and the need of pnematological dimensions of Christology for the contemporary context. The study then explores the feasibility of Möltmann’s Christology as a model of providing some theological insights regarding some theological issues that contemporary Christology need to reexamine. Finally, the study gives some conclusive thoughts, and it also addresses future theological tasks with some theological flaws in Möltmann’s Christology. Hence, it construes the directions and trajectory for the future development of contemporary Spirit Christology which demands constructive theological engagement with a broader theological community.
