Arab dramas have been the dominant cultural phenonenon among a huge number of TV viewers during the last several decades. However,a thorough scientific research on the trend and popularity of Arab dramas have not attracted a great attention. Thus, this paper aims at exploring the characteristics of Arab dramas in order to understand what the main culture codes are represented in major drama products. This research is based on quantitative culture code approach. This is because it may enable us to conduct more objective and reliable analysis on various cultural phenomena. This can be said as an attempt to quantify and standardize the features of any cultural phenomenon. Through this analysis, cultural contents in major Arab dramas can be more scientifically measured. This study collected the most popular 20 Arab dramas between 2009 and 2011 and examined their scenarios on the framework of 4categorizations: descriptive, constructive, motive and emotive. Furthermore, this research tried to quantify the culture codes into 6-dimensional attribute codes. Through these quantitative analysis, this study would extract how different the Arab cultural codes are from those of the West and Korea.
