The Egyptian Foreign Policy under Mubarak has been one of continuity in which Sadat's politics have crystallized. Egypt has ethnic and cultural homogeneity which could play a central role in the Middle East. Mubarak has used as one of foreign policy principles Egypt's centrality in the Arab world. After 2005 election, Mubarak has been mobilizing for Middle East Peace and Stability to build his leadership as senior Sadat or Nasser in the world. Mubarak emphasized on Egypt's identity instead of Arab identity to make an effort to rebuild up political identity as a positive mediator for neighbour countries to solve various conflicts. Mubarak concluded that Egypt's interests could be served by the Middle East Peace, recognizing Israel's sovereignty. Mubarak's efforts to revive the peace process has been complicated by radical Hamas victory in 2006 the Palestinian legislative elections. The political identity adopted by the leader is not enough by itself to account Islam activists. the U.S and EU argued questions about the need for political reform and the issue of human rights in Egypt. To keep on Egypt's and the Middle East's stability, the U.S and Israel need for Mubarak's authoritarian regime. In contrast, Egypt has been faced the war on terrorism because of its pro- American policy. Mubarak has a step institutionalizing personal Authoritarian rule in Egypt for succession of his son. Egypt's foreign policy is identified of the three circles of Arabism, Islam, Africa with each of which Egypt's future is linked. The geo-strategic position of centrality explains Egypt's interests in the area throughout history. Mubarak's initiative for peace and stability is the national interests-first philosophy.
