When one approaches the works of Soseki Natsume(hereinafter referred to as "Soseki") at the education field, what should be the start point will be the primary concern. There is no doubt that the not only the literary life of Soseki, so-called 'Japanese Shakespeare' but also his humane character as an ordinary person should be dealt with at the education field. Although he is so famous and his study on the egoism related to the criticism on the civilization and human ethics presented in his literary world produced so many achievements, it is true to say that no one can easily treat his original texts unless he/she is highly proficient in Japanese. That is because not only the use of huge amount of Chinese characters based on his wide knowledge of Chinese characters and his unique use of Chinese characters not like other novelists but also his wide range of knowledge of liberal arts built during his study in England are found throughout his works. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the diversification of dissertation methodology and the function and structure of strategy and imagination of description that are easily overlooked in his works-what description method will stir up reader’s imagination-by making highly proficient Japanese learner having advanced degree targeted. In addition, this study will approach the ethical belief and consciousness toward the reality of Japanese people during the age after the Russo-Japanese War by examining the historical circumstances after the war. By taking various approaches to his works with literary imagination stretched through this works like a chain reaction, this study also aims to verify the value of his works as an educational resource.
