This study aims to examine the description of grammatical element ‘-go’in current Korean-Japanese dictionaries and suggest efficient method using parallel corpus to describe micro-structure in bilingual dictionary. For practical study, we examine Korean conjunctive ending ‘-go’ and its correspondence in Japanese using parallel corpus- Korean-Japanese parallel corpus in “21c Sejong project” constructed by the national institute of the Korean language. And based upon this result, we analyze problems of micro-structure in established Korean-Japanese dictionaries. As a result, the method of using parallel corpus makes up a deficiency of existing dictionaries based on the translation of monolingual dictionaries ; in respect of micro-structure. This method is especially efficient in description of grammatical elements. For Example, It is helpful to find the distinction of most delicate senses of grammatical elements and synonyms. It makes the description of the dictionary have objective validity. Using Parallel corpus offers opportunity to gain faithful translation and systematic micro-structure. We propose, therefore, that Parallel corpus should be used for research in bilingual Lexicography in terms of theoretic and practical compilation of dictionary.
