This monograph’s objective is to seek developing ways of Korean writing materials for Chinese university students. Existing Korean mixed textbooks which developed in Korea are not suitable for the functional Korean language education in Chinese universities. Also even since a Korean writing textbook has not been developed yet in China, designing writing textbooks is urgent. This thesis suggests some ways of designing materials and practical models reflected Chinese universities’ actual circumstances. This thesis suggests the practical models based on the following material designing remedies. First, textbook should have mixed syllabus, and its unit composition should consider learners writing steps. Second, each unit should have a writing example. The number of letters (or words) should be limited for writing activities. The textbook must include not only Korean culture but also Chinese culture. Third, writing activities in the textbook should contain Chinese universities’ situation. Fourth, a textbook must have rewriting steps. Error correction should be included as a factor of each unit, which helps students perform the accurate writing. Fifth, writing tasks should be composed imitating writings and creating writings. Learners should practice writing in this controlled condition, which makes them create their own writing.
