The purpose of this study is to investigate peculiarities of grammar section of the Korean section of 2014 college scholastic ability test and to suggest direction of grammar assessment in Korean grammar education. The basic assumption of this study is that grammar assessment should be assess on grammatical competence. In chapter 2, we deal with the peculiarities and problems the Korean section of 1994〜2013 college scholastic ability test has. In chapter 3, we deal with peculiarities and problems of the Korean section of 2014 college scholastic ability test, specially in the grammar section. Based on these problems. In chapter 4, we deal with alternative proposals of grammar section of the Korean section of 2014 college scholastic ability test. To explain these issues, we give careful consideration to test items, documents, institution of curriculum and so on. As a consequence, we will be able to comprehend the direction of grammar assessment in the Korean grammar education.
