Shin, Kyeong-rim's travel literature such as essay and poetry show his characteristic things of poetry. His poetry is variety people who lives in everyday, not critical and resistant people called by minjung. Now, Let's compare his poetry and his essay.
Firstly, His character in his poetry and his essay is particular character, not typical character who is call by minjung. Minjung are oppressed and critical present, but resistant in the future. We can meet the particular character in journey.
Secondly, narrative in his essay and poetry is transformed. This transformation is two. One is a chance plot of event. Shin, Kyeong-rim's poetic narrative is accidental. Because the poetry is cased by the situation of essay that is occurred in everyday. So the situation of poetry is people's everyday state, not the minjung's pose.
And, there are reality and morals in his literature. Many scholar think that it's reality in his poetry. The reality is minjung's oppressed reality. But in his poetry reality is writer's consistent desire. He give consistency in his poetry. The consistency is truth of people and attitude on people.
