The Ascending and Descending(升降) theory is the one of oriental medical theories and by the theory. we can understand physiology & pathology of human body and keep to the same principles in the confused terms and various medical theories. This Ascending and Descending(升降) theory is different from higher conception of a singular circulation like Ki-monism(氣一元論), to the differentiated conception of Ascending and Descending(升降) that is performed in organs(臟腑) & meridian(經絡). Among the differentiated Ascending and Descending(升降) theories, ancient medical scholars have made much of the five Jang organs(五臟), moreover they have expressed Spleen & Stomach(脾胃) & Vital gate(命門) on the motive power of Ascending and Descending(升降). Therefore, I examined the conception of the Spleen & Stomach(脾胃) & Vital gate(命門) in the point of motive power of Ascending and Descending(升降). In this study, the results are summarized as the followings; 1. Movement of universe is based on the Ascending and Descending(升降) of its clean & unclean Ki(氣). And all things are created by the interaction, that is represent of Ascending and Descending(升降), between heaven & earth. Therefore all things are separated from the external world and Coming & Going(出入) appeared. Besides, according to appearance of its Sin(神), an individual is divided into Sinki(神機) & Kilip(氣立). 2. Ascending and Descending(升降) as well as Coming & Going(出入) are represent of the dynamic change of all things and among the both. Ascending and Descending(升降) means the internal movement of Ki(氣). Because of these facts, Ascending and Descending(升降) theory is advanced to ascending water & descending fire(水升火降) or Heart & Kidneys complement each other(心腎交濟) by ancient medical scholars. And Coming & Going(出入) is effected to emphasize internal & external changes of Ki(氣). 3. In the contents 『Naekyung(內經)』, Dong-won Lee(李東垣) took note of the four seasons' changes that are continued by the Ascending and Descending(升降) between heaven & earth, also he took note of the fact that movement of human body's organs(臟腑) is represent of Ascending and Descending(升降). As a result of such recognition, he understood the basis of Ki(氣)'s singular movement in the human body is Ki(氣) of the Stomach(胃氣), as well as the fact that such singular movement of Ki(氣) exists, just like Ki-monism(氣一元論), in the Ascending and Descending(升降) of universe. And he understood as following; human body is a site that a singular Ascending and Descending(升降) of Ki of the Stomach(胃氣). 4. Vital gate(命門) has substantial & actual meanings at the same time. The former means philosophical conception of life, just like a gate that life can appear or disappear. The latter means inborn-immaterial vitality(先天無形之元氣) including organs(臟腑) & meridian(經絡), and the action of the vitality appears in the whole body, moreover the action is represent of Yang of the kidneys(腎陽). According to original YumYang(元陰元陽), heart & kidneys(心腎) are represent of water & fire(水火), in the human body Water and fire complement each other(水火交濟) appears by action of heart & kidneys(心腎). And because of emphasis on the dynamic movement of life, Ascending and Descending(升降) progressed in ascending water & descending fire(水升火降). In this system, Vital gate(命門) is the motive power of the Ascending and Descending(升降) in the body. 5. As a matter of course the Spleen & Stomach(脾胃), taking charge of the supply of food & drink, transport Ki(氣) into organs(臟腑) through the Ascending and Descending(升降). But if we have extended viewpoint. the singular circulation of Ki of the Stomach(胃氣) is understood in a range of Vital gale(命門)'s activity. Therefore the Spleen & Stomach(脾胃) are the part that absorption of food & drink, also creation of Body fluid(津液) are performed in the Spleen & Stomach(脾胃). In this point we can understand the followin
