The purpose of this paper is to verify that Literature can serve as a practical role in treating the problem of alcohol dependence.
In Literary therapy, the epic of self is known to cause disease.In Psychoanalysis, Psychological characteristics related to harsh Superego is known to cause alcohol dependence.
In this paper, it is discussed that any Psychological characteristics is related to Psychological characteristics of alcohol dependence Patient In analysis case, alcohol dependence patient P is typical patient having Psychological characteristics of alcohol dependence. In three types of diagnostic epic, P composed the following the epic of self.
In <Cow and Roof>, P composed the story of father who believe that children who can doubt his parent’s term can survive family. In <My Own Good Fortune>, P composed the story of daughter who resent parents her’s whole life because she was expelled by father. In <Fox Jewel>, P composed the story of man who split up with a woman owing to teacher, and entered into mountains. The three story is the result of reflecting the epic of self.
The parents shown on the epic of self of P don’t meet the needs of children, and don’t listen to children, and interfere with the children’s love. The children shown on the epic of self of P refuse, resent and doubt parents. In this way, Psychological characteristics of alcohol dependence Patient appear equally in the epic of self of P.
