This study attempted to suggest the contents of novel interpretation education for student’s interpretation competence. Because it is very critical to connect between the novel interpretation and reader’s real life. Meanwhile, methodology for novel interpretation was not receiving careful study because of Philosophical Hermeneutics’s effect. I assume that methodology for novel interpretation is play a vital role for interpretation education. Because we aim to raise the actual competence for readers in classroom. So I suggest that we have to design methodological strategies and maxims for novel interpretation education. By analyzing interpretation texts about <Wings> written by Lee Sang, I try to show that three factors, “interpreter’s value system”, “interpreter’s knowledge” and “interpreter’s context of reception” have a decisive effect on the novel interpretation. I attempt to systematize the contents of novel interpretation education with the two categories, “methodological strategy for interpretation” and “maxim for interpretation,” and try to provide more specialized sub-categories such as “imaginative reproduction of text’s worlds and construction of second reference’s network”, “construction of implied author as interpretive hypotheses”, “conversion of text’s worlds through the substitution of interpreter’s context”, “assumption of text’s topic and repetitive disproof”, “respect for text’s otherness and an attentive listening”, and “self-interpretation and reflection about the code of interpretation”.
