This study focuses on the change of the subject-identity which is presented in the character of Kim, Nam-Chen’ Novel “Kyongyong” and “Maek”. The standard reading of this change is that the those day’s discourses about the particularity of the orient and the overcome of the western modern determine the process and the discourses interpellate the subject. What is missing from the interpretation of this change of subject-identity is that this change aimed at the resolving the deadlock of the collapse of subject’s identity. So this paper focuses on the reversal of the change. The change of subjectivity of Oh, Si-Hyong and Choi, Mu-Kyong’s mother had an hastening character. They firstly felt that they might be expelled from the community. And they recognized themselves as the new subjects to overcome the fear. It was at the next time that those day’s discours is activated for the subjects. In conclusion, this paper criticizes the classic concept on the interpellation and the way of standard reading of Kim, Nam-Chen’ Novel “Kyongyong” and “Maek”.
