Since the 1980s mainland area of studies on relationship history of Song dynasty and Jin dynasty review and reflection, can see the academic circles have made great success. These achievements include re‐recognize the historical status of the Song dynasty and Jin dynasty, on the relationship history of Song dynasty and Jin dynasty of the various stages and aspects of doing more in‐depth study. But there are also some shortcomings and problems, including research uneven; need to strengthen the use of the theory; several other issues to be further explored. Future research should address the gaps and issues, from research to freely and consciously study.
