This article is intended to examine the natural scientific thought and the concept of Scientific field in D.H. Lawrence’s literary works. Once he was an apostle of naturalism, materialism, and Darwinism with a great interest in natural science field and so-called New Science Movement in his young age. But as the time passes, his scientific concern has changed into a hatred. So he said that scientist is a liar. Instead he recommended his own “a subjective science” which ancient scholars believed was true and real. Lawrence suggests and describes “electric-magnetic field model” for a life-force flow, interchange, and communication in interpersonal relationship and human-nature contact in his essays and novels such as The Rainbow, Women in Love, and The Plumed Serpent. He was greatly interested in ‘the field’ concept in physics area. Some scenes in his novels with this physics field model can be found, and such physics field models are considered a psychological, literary application of ‘The field’ in physics, which is very interesting to readers. Many of Lawrence’s descriptive features in his novels’ electric-magnetic field scenes reflect working of the unconscious soul and various Quantum Field Theory. Quantum Field Theory in modern physics shows the mysterious feature of material inner world as contrastive, opposite to Decartes-Newton’s classic physics. Not deterministic, and ambiguous, double features are of Quantum Field Theory. These features are a reality and original sides of things. Lawrence had made an enthusiastic adventurer into such reality and side in his literary works through psychological unconsciousness opposite to mechanical determining will and intellectual consciousness
