Recently, Arabic education has focused on the vocabulary, because vocabulary is necessary for the communication ability. In the past, Arabic vocabulary learning was considered to be easy and students were forced to memorize vocabulary. But Arabic vocabulary learning is so important part in Arabic education that without effective vocabulary learning students would have difficulties in studying Arabic. The purpose of this study is to help students learn Arabic vocabulary with more effective approach. To carry out this goal, semantic field is mentioned. I supposed that students would acquire Arabic vocabulary using semantic field than they memorize vocabulary without using that. The results of research are as follows. The students who learn Arabic vocabulary through semantic field showed a consistent improvement on Arabic ability compared to other students while the other students who learnt vocabulary through the traditional way showed inconsistent scores. Especially, the students low level showed a big difference. In conclusion, from the results of this study, learning Arabic vocabulary through semantic field not only enhances students' ability to acquire words but also can help students to store meaningfully in long-term memory. Learning Arabic vocabulary through semantic field has a positive effect on students' learning. For this reason, it needs to adapt it to Arabic vocabulary teaching.
