The Far East and South Pacific Games (FESPIC) Federation was founded by 8 countries. The 1st Games were held in Oita in 1975. The FESPIC Games have so far been more oriented toward friendship than the Paralympic Games. However, this has changed recently with the introduction of elite sports in the FESPIC region.There are many issues which remain to be resolved in order for the FESPIC Federation to be able to establish a viable strategy for the development of sports for the disabled. Many issues can be tackled through the Federation's own efforts, however some problem can only be resolved through cooperation with the IPC or each sports organizations.In conclusion, the IPC and the FESPIC Federation have established certain level of cooperation. However, there are still many issues remained, where improvement is necessary for the development of sports for the disabled.The IPC and the FESPIC Federation should have a good communication channels. Internet should be used actively. The Classification system should be revised and education should be activated. The education of officials and referees in the FESPIC region should be activated. Members from the FESPIC region should be invited to each committee meeting of the IPC. The OCA and the FESPIC region should have a cooperation agreement, with the support of the IOC and IPC. The necessary regulations pertaining to the sanction of the FESPIC Games by the IPC should be set up.
