It is the purpose of this research to analyze the Status of the Exchanges between the Korean and the Mongolian municipalities. As a first step. it will be analyzed from the perspective of korean municipalities.
Since 1990 the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Korea and Mongolia, last 22 years the exchange of the regional government has been broad expanded. Not only the human exchange but also economic and sociocultural exchange have been actively in progress. Currently 25 regional governments have a relationship in both countries.
The significants of these municipalities exchanges can be divided into two kinds of parts. first ; Detailed inter-culture could be realized both nations understanding of the cultural identity and national emotion.
secondly ; Substantial economic exchanges could bring the maximum effect without the involvement of the central government. This is a win-win strategy that can save each other's strengths directly.
Through these two perspective, it could lay the foundation of mutual co-prosperity.
But there are many Problems, which can be summarized into four ;○ Ineffective flow relationship ○ Unilateral support exchanges ○ Communication problems ○ Diversity absence in the exchange program On the other hand, There is nothing in the support of The Association of North East Asia Regional Governments. The organization should be a clear role.
For the next step, from the perspective of mongolian municipalities will be analyzed after field working in Mongolia.
