A Tang-An has been one of the most important data in the study of Mongolian history at the time of Ching dynasty. Because a Tang-An is objectively showing the historic truth and facts of the age, it serves as a clear historic record to complement either some points of the government-edited history books that still need to be further refined or certain ambiguous points in the historic materials related.
This paper is a thesis which aims to clarify the China's research trends for Mongolian history, using the Tang-An series of『Ch'ing Chao qianqi Lifanyuan Manmongwen Tiben』, 『Ch'ing Nei-ko Mongo Tang Dang』, 『Junjichu Manwen Zhungaer Shizhe Dang Yibian』 which were published after 2000, other lists of Tang-An data, some introductory summaries of the Tang-An series, and recently revealed Tang-An data.
