潘陽詩社는 전라남도 나주시 반남면 일대에 거주했던 문인들에 의해 창설된 漢詩 모임이다. 1926년부터 1940년까지 15년간 매년 4월 12일에 반남면 紫薇山에서 시사를 개최했으며, 그때 지은 작품을 『潘陽詩社』로 엮었다.
『반양시사』에는 총 86人의 칠언율시 409수와 六言八句 1수, 도합 410수가 수록되어 있다. 반양시사에 참여했던 총 86인의 면면을 살펴보면, 그 지역에 거주하고 있었던 羅州 羅氏와 河東 鄭氏 그리고 潘南 朴氏가 시사 모임을 주도했음도 확인된다.
반양시사의 형성 배경과 활동 양상 및 지향은 序文을 통해 살필 수 있다. 무너진 世道와 士風을 바로잡고자 시사를 결성했다고 밝혔는데, 이는 일제 치하라는 당대 현실과 무관하지 않다.
『반양시사』에 수록된 작품은 일제 치하라는 당대 상황이 배경으로 깔려 있어 일반적인 시사 활동과 동일한 의미를 부여할 수 있는 작품일지라도 작가나 독자에게 다가오는 의미는 다르다. 일제 치하라는 암울한 현실을 직접 언급한 작품도 보이고 亡國의 강개함을 지닌 인물 관련 故事를 적극 활용하여 당대 현실에 대한 울분을 외돌려 표현하기도 했다.
이러한 현실에서 반양시사의 문인들이 선택할 수 있는 삶은 소극적인 은거뿐이었다. 어지러운 당대 현실을 등진 채 살았던 伯夷나 魯仲連, 竹林七賢 등을 언급하면서 은거를 읊조렸다. 그러면서도 일제의 통치에서 벗어난 새로운 세상에 대한 열망도 지속되었다. 또한 윤봉길 의사의 쾌거를 詩化했으니, 이 역시 국운을 다시 회복하고자 하는 열망이 반영된 것이다.
『Banyangsisa』 is gathering that wrote chinese poem, founding by living in the area Bannammyon Najucity Jeonnam.
As long as 15years, It hold the meeting from 1924 to 1940, at every year the 12nd of April, At Jami mountain in Bannammyon. And it was wrote 『Banyangsisa』. But, at this book, it wasn`t put the works that 1928 and 1929. But, it was worthy of notice that they was active a poetry club at a special situation, under the rule of Japanese imperialism. Also, It was worthy that was continued at southern country.
At 『Banyangsisa』, it was recorded that 409 poems which 86 people wrote a composition in classical Chinese verse which has seven characters in the line and 8 phrases with six a style of Chinese verse 1poem, all of them was recorded 410 poems. At 『Banyangsisa』, It was considered that took part in all of 86people, it was confirmed that lead a meeting 3 one’s family which live the area the Nas of Naju, the Jungs of Hadong and the Parks of Bannam. a quatrain with six a style of Chinese verseAt an introduction, It can know that a composed background, active aspect and so on of 『Banyangsisa』. He bring to light that form the sisa. The sisa was made intention that corrected collapsed power and reckless words and shock-ing behavior. But, It wasn`t noth-ing to do with Japanese imperialism.
The works of 『Banyangsisa』, as universal works of sisa, recited landscape of the circumference or was emphasized relation of a group. so, it was mostly expressself-conceit about sisa. But, The works of 『Banyangsisa』 backed up Japanese imperialism. So, It wasn`t different from writer and reader, even if, which general sisa and allowed works. It can gathered that the real cognition and the homologous aspect. At 『Banyangsisa』, It was directly appeared works that refer to gloomy reality. Besides this was expressive that applied tradition be related people that be endowed with lamentation of national ruin. As such reality, literary men of 『Banyangsisa』 can select nothing but live in retirement.
It was expressed go into retirement that Baek-yi, No-chungryun, the seven philosophers and so on. And it was hold out an ardent wish about new world escape Japanese imperialism.
It was desired appearance of a figure who look out the world that a competent man, like Jabang or Soha of the Han Dynasty, and a leader like Confucius. Moreover, it was show a brilliant achievement of Yoon, bong-gil by the poem. So, It also be reflected a fervent hope that got back to do.
