Purpose: There is a discrepancy between stakeholders because there is no standardized basis for applying the mileage of standard and familied (remodeled) vehicles. Hence, in this study, mileage, number of tests, and road condition are set as the factors influencing vehicle endurance.
Methods: We analyze the factors derived from current R&D programs, such as mileage, number of tests, and road condition, which affect vehicle endurance, and suggest improvements to the areas affected by these factors. Especially, mileage is analyzed by classifying it in relation to the type of mission, remolded area and its traits, and factors influencing familied vehicles.
Results: For familied (remodeled) vehicles, the three methods mentioned in the text provided more objective criteria in the test evaluation.
Conclusion: The mileage of a familied vehicle is determined by considering the type of mission, remoded area, and the relationship of weight. It is necessary to increase the number of tests and reestablish the concepts and conditions of the mission types.
