The purpose of this paper is to clarify with the trend of globalization, the ability needed to become multicultural, and Intercultural learning required.
Firstly, examine Taiwan society’s shift in demand of talent when facing globalization development. Then, study about regions which faced the same challenges earlier such as Europe and the “Plurilingualism/Pluriculturalism” in the European language education policy.
Through studying how the “Plurilingualism/Pluriculturalism” policy define the language, culture, and concept of learning, reflect on the problem of international exchange activities. The study will also allow us to explore the challenges that might arise if this “Plurilingualism/Pluriculturalism” policy was to apply on Taiwan’s society.
