The purpose of this study was to investigate leisure constraints and encountered by married male golf participants and their negotiation strategies during the practice phase and the field rounding phase and to verify the occurrence of change of main leisure constraints experienced during two phases. A qualitative methodology was applied, employing in-depth interviews. The subjects of the study consist of 6 participants who had played golf for 12 months. The results were drawn as follows: First, intrapersonal constraints such as psychological barrier economical barrier were dominant during the practice phase. Structural constraints such as lack of information are also occurred. Second, leisure constraints occurred in various complexities after playing in the field. Not only intrapersonal and structural constraints but also interpersonal constraints are occurred. Third, golf participants show various their negotiation strategies toward each constraint experienced during the practice phase and the field rounding phase.
