All over the world the problem of the elderly is growing more serious than ever. Of course our society is no exception to this ver same problem, Since aging is the problem that we, as a human being, alt must face sooner or later, the burden of solving this social problem not lie only an the old but also an the young as well. Generally, the elderly are easy victims of physical weakness, solitude, alienation and economic difficulties. The reasons behind such predicaments can be summarized as follows; First, advancements in medical fields and living style have brought about increased longevity clanging overall population structure. Now our society is growing old faster than ever before. Second, the increase in the number of the elderly-alone family due to growing tendency of nuclear family and the shifts in traditional values made the role of old people in a family disappear have alienate the elderly from other family members. Health, housing and living costs of the elderly as well as weakened commitment to caring for parents are adding more dark shadows over the already-felt isolation. Third, industrialization of a society has taken away the social role and position of the elderly. In our society where the importance of system is well accepted by the public. This phenomena is creating new sets of serious social problem for the aging populations such as loss of place in modern society and lack of economic capabilities. So far, the solutions suggested to solve these problems have remained short term oriented and passive. That is why we now must provide more long-term based and aggressive answers. This means that we no longer should not view the problems of the elderly only in terms of welfare issues; to provide house, food and clothes for the poor. Rather, the solutions must such as continuouse education for the elderly. only with this solution can the old population cope with their future. In this respect the need and importance of the education for the elderly cannot be enough to emphasize.
