The purpose of this study was to verify the performance of 2-story toggle damper system which is used for seismic retrofit. Real-size experiments were conducted to evaluate structural performances of the damping system. The 2-story toggle damper system, which is made of 7x6m steel frame, showed significant nonlinear behavior within 2% drift. The damper system was attached on 2-story, 2-bay concrete frame and tested in the same way. The test results show that the concrete frame has no severe damages and the damping system operated as well as the system-sole-test.
