In this study, We analyzed the efficiency of wholesale and commission trade firms by selecting variables that affect efficiency of wholesale and retail firm, and classified them into four quadrants according to wholesale and retail weights.
According to the efficiency analysis, in the case of the input-oriented CCR, the tobacco and liquid-fueled and related product wholesale businesses were found to be efficient. In the case of the input-oriented BCC, tobacco wholesale firms, liquid-fueled wholesale business, and related product wholesale firms In particular, wholesale tobacco and liquid fuel and related products were the most efficient firms in both CCR and BCC.
According to the weight of wholesale and retail categorization, the difference in the efficiency distribution between each quadrant was not clear, but the null Hypothesis of Quadrant 2 and Quadrant3 were rejected. It was also shown that by analyzing the excess input of Quadrant 2, which showed a difference in distribution, a high retail share in wholesale and commission trade can decrease efficiency.
