In this paper, we propose the SCC (Smart Cruise Control) system with Speed TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition). The SCC with Navigation which is the newly produced SCC system has several limitations. The navigation system is operated using GPS (Global Positioning System). GPS based on satellites has several limitations like indoor environment, tunnels, central complex with skyscrapers, etc. In additional, the SCC system cannot control in unregistered area for navigation system. For this reason, SCC with navigation is generally provided in highway only. The proposed system can provide additional function of SCC using speed traffic sign recognition based on camera function for active control vehicle speed. Simulation shows the vehicle control based on proposed scheme. Finally, summarize how to deal with SCC system for the additional function about speed control.
