Living organisms have implemented optimal functions for survival in the 3.8 billion years of evolution. Animals and plants have already their optimized structure for survival. As shown in termites or honeybees, it is widely known that they build the most optimized residential space for their survival.
The urban architectures as a future residential space should be a `closed system` which can play its roles independently. In other words, each building is capable of producing food, generating energy, and treating wastes self-sufficiently, and has the network system to connect with other independent buildings organically.
The architecture inspired by nature puts coexistence with nature in top priority. In nature, the mechanism which can make requirements for the futuristic sustainable eco-city come true already exists universally. That is the reason why futuristic urban architecture should be associated with biomimicry. Biomimetic architecture is able to not only provides aesthetic factors, but present a creative and new paradigm for human permanence. The convergence already begins, and is expected to be expanded to the diverse areas.
