Toni Morrison emphasizes language as a way to escape from racial construction and self-exile. She presents that racial hierarchy is not only established by the color of skin but incurred by the power of despotic language. In this respect, Morrison considers language as the instrument through which power is exercised in a society. Her claims about the need of studying new language also intend to empower the young generation to seek the prospects for the open society. To examine a new language, Morrison shows a unique attempt. She asserts race-free language is both possible and meaningful in extracting from the word, racism. The fact that antithetical elements are prerequisites for creating change is the most important contact point of Morrison’s new language and Deleuze and Guattari’s linguistics. This paper argues Morrison and Deleuze-Guattari’s thought of the contrasted elements shows how these two axises affect each other for changes and freedom. In this perspective, malice events are not wretched destiny to endure but a premise for limitless freedom.
