The purpose of this study is to apply the RAS method in estiamting Input-Output coefficients and to evaluate the performances. The methods of evaluation are the regression analysis, chi-square test and euclidean dis. tance, while the National I-O tables of 1975, 1980 and 1985 are used. The main results are as follows. First, The RAS method is considered as a good one to estimate the Input-Output coefficients. Second, the estimates of lumber and wood products, nonmetallic mineral products, and miscellaneous manufactured products are slightly lower than actual coefficient of 1985 because of the rapid structural changes of those industries in 1980s. Third, the accuracy of estimation for miscellaneous manufactured products, other service and dummy sector and significantly lower probably due to the aggregation problems of each industries. Finally, the RAS method is not good to estimate Input-Output coefficients for the foods, beverages and tobacco products and the public administration and defence industries which are considerably affected by the exogeneous impacts of final demands.
