The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of sports wearable by comparing the effect of wearing EMS + compression clothing on the isokinetic strength and muscle activity of elbow joint and knee joint in 10 healthy 20‘s male adults. The experimental procedure was carried out in a cross-sectional study design with a total of three trials, the first with no clothing, the second with compression clothing only, and the third with compression clothing combined with EMS. The repeated measure ANOVA was conducted and the results were as follows. The maximum muscle flexion muscle (Nm/kg) + compression clothing was significantly higher. In the knee joint, compression clothing only and EMS + compression clothing were significantly higher than those in the control group. In addition, the measurement of muscle EMG showed that the biceps brachii, brachial plexus, quadriceps, and biceps femoris were significantly higher in EMS + compression clothing than controls and compression clothing, indicating that EMS + compression clothing was most effective on muscle activity. In addition, the isokinetic strength and muscle activity were measured at 180。/ sec angular velocity, and the average power (Watt/kg) of the elbow joint was the highest in EMS + compression clothing. In the knee joint, the average power and total work of extensor and flexor muscles were higher in EMS + compression clothing, compression clothing, and control. Also, muscle EMG of the elbow joint and knee joint was significantly higher in the biceps brachii of the elbow joint and in the quadriceps muscle of the knee joint and in the EMS + compression clothing than in the compression clothing.
