The purpose of the study is to verify the validity of the test tool from the perspective of validity (validity based on test content, validity based on actuality, validity based on internal structure, validity based on generalization). In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we conducted a test of dropout intentions for college students majoring in dance in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, and analyzed the data using winstep 3.64.2 (Linacre, 2007). The statistical significance level was set to α=.05. The results of the study are as follows. First, the validity based on the test contents of the dropout intention test was found to be inappropriate for items 5, 7, and 9. Therefore, in the follow-up study, it can be said that it is possible to use the measurement as a more appropriate tool except the 5th, 7th, and 9th items of the dropout test items. Second, the evidence of validity based on the reality of the dropout test was found to be appropriate. Third, we confirmed that we have sufficient conditions of validity based on internal structure. Fourth, it is confirmed that there are three items (1, 5, 14) that function differentially according to gender (male, female) and exit report (art high school, general high school) through the analysis of discrimination function in the validity based on generalization . *(Question 1: ‘I thought it was too hard to stop the dance’, Question 5: ‘I will continue to dance in the future’, Question 7: ‘I thought about whether the leader would quit because there were many students to lead’, Question 9: ‘I wondered if I would quit because the facilities other than the dance room were inconvenient’, Question 14: ‘I thought the tuition was expensive and I would stop’)
