This study aims to examine how hotel employee`s self efficacy and social support, one of environmental variants, can influence his psychological burnout in performing his duty. It is also another goal of this study to provide strategic materials through making out preventive measures against the psychological burnout. To accomplish the goals, a field survey was conducted on the employees of the deluxe hotels in Seoul area. The results of this study, based on a positive analysis, could be summarized as follows. First, the emotional support, evaluative support, material support and informative support turned out to have affirmative effects on hotel employee`s self efficacy. Second, the emotional support, evaluative support and informative support turned out to have a negative effect on hotel employee`s emotional exhaustion. Third, the emotional support turned out to have a negative effect on hotel employee`s dehumanization. Fourth, the emotional support and material support turned out to have a negative effect on the decrease of hotel employee`s sense of achievement. Fifth, hotel employee`s self efficacy turned out to have a negative effect on his dehumanization and the decrease of his sense of achievement.
