Report Errors
Holographic data storage (HDS) offers the advantages of a short access time and high data storage density. However, two-dimensional (2D) inter-symbol interference from adjacent pixels negatively impacts the performance of HDS. To solve this problem, 2D non-isolated pixel modulation codes have been proposed to exclude isolated pixel patterns. However, when using only modulation codes, we cannot achieve a good performance. In this paper, we introduce a different modulation coding technique with low density parity check code and compare the bit error rate performance to that of a conventional concatenation coding scheme of the modulation code and error-correcting code.
