The purpose of this study is to analyze how the North Korean People's Army officers were trained during the founding of the NKPA's military. Pyeongyang Academy was designed to educate political and military officers for the new armed forces. Graduates of Pyeongyang Academy founded the State, the Party and the Army. Kim Il-Sung accepted the Soviet doctrine of the regular warfare to gain political and military power.
And he made full use of his individual history of Anti-Japan armed struggle. After short training, the graduates became higher officers or Party leaders.
North Korea's Central Security Officer School was designed to educate military officers, below the regiment commander. This school was adopted the Soviet Army and its system as its education philosophy. And this school formed the basis of the NKPA's army officer corps. North Korea's Central Security Officer School was a tactical sucess,but Pyeongyang Academy was a strategic failure.
