Korean have handed down many oral military humors, like that is recruit humors, cadre soldier humors, discharged soldier humors, reserves humors etc.
This paper is a study on the social-cultural meaning of the discharged soldier humors and reserves humors. The discharged soldier humors have three types which are about senior sergeant, sergeant's mistakes and display of military service. These humors implies the meanings that soldier's envy for discharge from military service and the estrangement between reality and consciousness,minor heroism.
And then, the reserves humors have the two types on deviation from reserves's training and scolding assistant teacher. The reserves's deviation humors are significant there's mental attitudes and behaviors of local reserve army. The scolding assistant teacher humors have the story within a story structure that try to bring about a better understanding between now and past times.
These discharged soldier humors and reserves humors show the meaning of the starting and completion of demilitarization process. These days are the borderland or the borderline which the soldiers are switch over to civilians.
The dualism pregnant with double meaning. The one is separation from military, the other is integration to civil society. Peoples have burst into a loud laugh at the contradiction between separation and integration.
